Jeek is a sociopathic asuran scientist who travels with Ailionora, a sylvari ranger. He is in somewhat in awe of the wonders of nature in Snowden Drifts.

- Ah, Snowden Drifts. A land teeming with resources and test subjects to be exploited for the greater good. Such a wonderful place.
What do you mean by test subjects?
- The wildlife in these mountains has a particular essence, which can [sic] extracted and used to create a more cohesive bond for my capacitor.
- But how do you obtain this essence without hurting the animal?
- Without doing what? Oh, I didn't realize you were one of those treant-huggers.
Right...I'll just leave you to your experiments.
- Good-bye.
- What kind of resources?
- Where there are mountains, there is ore. And where there are forests, there are things that can be harvested for wood.
- You mean trees, right?
- Well, if you listen to rumors and hearsay, the locals tell tales of an extraordinary amount of lumber coming from arboreals. Especially pinesouls. Seems like a good business to be in.
- You might want to consider using trees, as well.
- That's good information. Thanks.
- Does your companion share your attitudes about this area?
- Ailionora? Let's just say you can take the sylvari out of the tree, but you can't take the tree out of the sylvari. Her feelings about using these animals for the greater good is downright naïve.
- If you don't like her views, why do you travel with her?
- Are you snowblind? There are dangers around every corner in Snowden Drifts! Having a towering giant of a woman like her around is worth putting up with her annoying attitude.
