The Heavy Door can be found inside Provernic Crypt, blocking the entrance to the final chamber. It can be opened by slaying all of the spiders in the crypt, then placing boulders on the Pressure Plates in twisting corridors to the south.

- The door's surface is stained and mottled with age. Judging by its thickness and hard wood, its age will make it no less solid. No knobs or latches give clues to how to open it, but there must be a mechanism somewhere.
Leave the door.
