Gnasher is a pet Alpine Wolf.

The wolf growls a warning and glances to its owner for a cue. It quiets down when it sees that Brenthold is unafraid.

Good wolf.

Though Gnasher's dialogue identifies him as "Brenthold", the boy does not have a name when you select him and is only called Kid.
