Convergence: Mount Balrior is a portal found inside the Bonfire Lodge in the Harvest Den in Lowland Shore. It may be used to enter Convergence: Mount Balrior as either a public or private squad.
Location[edit]
Dialogue[edit]
- The fire pit burns bright, and Mount Balrior beckons. Do you wish to embrace the past and relive the events on the mountain through Stoic Alder's storytelling?
- Join the fight with a public group. (Convergences—Public) (Only during the Convergences Public window. Opens strike dialogue.)
- Opening an instance for your squad requires an unstable rift motivation, which can be found from tier 2 and tier 3 rifts.
- I'll use an unstable rift motivation to open the Convergence for my squad. (If the player has an unstable rift motivation.)
- Maybe later.
Join the fight with a premade squad. (Convergences—Squad)
- Breeze Weaver, what should I expect from Alder's story? (Activity details)
- Stoic Alder tells the lowland cubs the story of your legendary journey to Mount Balrior. You can relive it by sitting fireside ... but beware! He tweaks the story each time to keep the cubs entertained!
- Your objective is to survive the elements and gather calibrated essence for the tectonic thumper to lure out a legendary titan. Defeat it to close out Stoic Alder's tale for the cubs successfully.
- The magic surrounding Mount Balrior makes it a dangerous place to settle, so you will need to escort a supply dolyak to a safe space to set up base camp. From there, the tectonic thumper can be deployed.
- The tectonic thumper is a device constructed by Vetia Foerazer that slams against the ground to lure out a titan. In order to function, it needs to be calibrated.
- Calibration comes via calibrated essence, which can be extracted around the mountain by constructing and defending smaller calibration thumpers at those hotspots. This is where your warclaw comes in.
- To build a calibration thumper, you need to pull supplies from base camp to the construction sites. Your warclaw's keen sense of smell will help you find where to take them.
- Calibration thumpers eject calibrated essence to collect and return to the tectonic thumper, increasing its overall calibration. Titanspawn will fight back, so be ready to defend all of the thumpers.
- Collect and deposit enough calibrated essence, and the titan will be lured out. Destroy it, and allow Stoic Alder to end the tale with a grand finish to entertain the cubs.
- Stoic Alder changes the story to keep the cubs' interest piqued. There are constants: collecting essence, defending the various thumpers from attackers, and Frozen Soil's impact on the mountain...
- Frozen Soil is a nature ritual affecting Mount Balrior that prevents the use of traditional resurrection magic. Bearkin can dispel it by siphoning some of the calibrated essence you collect.
- Stoic Alder's tweaks to the story will keep you on your toes. Weather, for one, but also sappers and reinforcement squads. There'a[sic] also an entire interior of the mountain to deal with.
- Ah yes, one of Alder's favorites for his stories. He's especially fond of coating his tales in snow ... But expect a lot more than that.
- What else? (Goes back one dialogue screen.)
- Let's give it a shot. (Goes back to beginning of conversation.)
- I'll be back later.
Weather? What kind of weather?
- You didn't think the titanspawn wouldn't push back, did you? That'd make for an uninteresting antagonist. Sappers steal essence from the tectonic thumper, and reinforcements come to take over base camp.

What do you mean by sappers and reinforcement squads?
- Of course. Mount Balrior has an extensive cave system, and Alder's one to utilize the full canvas for his tales. Your warclaw is especially useful for gaining access by pulling down roadblocks.

Interior?
- One of my favorite parts is Stoic Alder's take on the mountain geysers. They'll launch you sky high! Combine that with the cubs' reactions to the twists and turns, and everyone has a grand time.

And when we collect enough essence to calibrate the tectonic thumper?
