Common icon. (We need one.) Aqua (T|C) 17:46, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- Shouldn't we put an ankh on the guardian icon? The GDC 11 videos (leaks, I know) show the guardian's profession icon as a blue shield with an ankh. Also, should someone get started on the...other professions' icon? ~Ekko (talk) 22:03, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
PoF tango icons[edit]
I've created icons in the wiki style from the currently uploaded tango icons on my userpage. Most of them are not in 200x200 right now, if someone want's to suggest changes, I'd incorporate them before uploading a final 200x200 version. --Soulblydd (talk) 18:44, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- Great work! The 48px weaver and soulbeast should obviously be reduced in size a bit to get in line with the others, and maybe the deadeye and holosmith could do a with a bit more colour detail/gradient, especially in the smaller variants. And we'll certainly also need the 20px versions, which might need a small reduction in detail. But as for the 200px ones, I'd say those are really great, and I'm really happy you've made them! And, funnily enough, I only just realized that our current scourge and mirage are swapped... 19:28, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- Very nice! I have a few tweaks, so gimme a few minutes and I'll pop up an image since that'll be easier. - Doodleplex 19:31, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- Actually, hang on, the videos ([1], [2]) and the official website confuse the scourge and mirage icons... so who knows which one is which... :D 19:35, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- File:Tango tweaks.jpg - Mostly white space tweaks so the icons will read nicely at smaller sizes. Realized the icon for Deadeye is supposed to resemble an eyeball, so it needs curves (and the tiny arrows should be the same size or you'll drive OCD people crazy heh). The right side of Weaver curves back, it doesn't mirror the other side(well mirror if flipped). Otherwise that's all I've got and I think you did a lovely job. - Doodleplex 20:18, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- Eyeball agreed, "different size" for the tiny arrows should be because I did a mistake when saving it the last time. More space agreed, dot ok. Im on the fence of changing the right side of the weaver, I'd keep the artistic freedom to simplify the icon (and to not drive OCD people crazy because the obvious point symmetry is clearly broken).
- About 20px icons, I have thought about broadening the diagonal parts of the scourge. --Soulblydd (talk) 21:44, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- Just double checked an older image Darqam found (without knowing it) for Weaver, and in that one both sides are the exactly same slant/thickness, so I'll leave that up to you(and glare at the unsymmetrical version on Anet's website). - Doodleplex 22:00, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

I've finished all icons in 200x200 now and included most of the improvements. However I do not like my approach towars the mirage icon and would rather keep my previous version. If someone else wants to try it I can also upload the icon as svg. --Soulblydd (talk) 11:57, 4 August 2017 (UTC)
- Hey, all of these icons look fantastic! I've moved them to the tango filenames to match the other elite specs from HoT + original tangos from Core. If you feel like uploading the SVG files, those would be neat too. We can use those to generate the 48px version (using the same SVG), and then simplify the svg if required to produce the 20px version. -Chieftain Alex 08:40, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
Legacy tango icons[edit]
So that they don't get tagged for deletion in the future...
