Defeat the drunk legionnaire! is a dynamic event that occurs in Soul's Hearth in Grothmar Valley. The goal is to defeat Vaolt Sharpstrike before he defeats Erasmus Fangstorm.

These are the expected rewards for a level 80 player.
Walkthrough[edit]
Defeat Vaolt. Vaolt deals melee damage with a greatword, while Erasmus uses a rifle. The best plan is to keep Vaolt away from Erasmus by luring him away from Erasmus. Erasmus will continue to help out with his rifle. Vaolt applies PBAoE Fear, so you may want to bring a condition cleanse skill.

- Vaolt Sharpstrike: You been telling my sister to get off this land? You think you're better than her?
- Erasmus Fangstorm: She was trespassing on my property!
- Vaolt Sharpstrike: Last I checked, this was charr territory. And I don't see any real charr here.
- During the fight
- Vaolt Sharpstrike: C'mon, that the best you got?
- Vaolt Sharpstrike: You're past your prime, old man!
- Vaolt Sharpstrike: They sent you to the farm for a reason. Time for you to lay down and die.
- Vaolt Sharpstrike: You've been off the battlefield for too long. Made you weak!
- Event success
- Vaolt Sharpstrike: Not bad, old man. You're lucky your friends were here. But they won't be around forever...
- Event failure
- Vaolt Sharpstrike: That's right! Crawl back home! You're no warrior. That's why you gave up your sword for a shovel!
Notes[edit]
- After the event, Vaolt retreats to one of the houses nearby. Erasmus becomes a merchant, offering Large Horn for 2,100 and Prize Winning Horn for 10,500 . Presumably, one of these may be the piece of horn that he is missing.
