Clear the Risen from the center of the ruins of Fort Cadence is a level 55 event that occurs in Fort Cadence. This event occurs after the Vigil and the players fail to defend Fort Cadence's central area.

Walkthrough[edit]

When beginning, players will be presented with a choice of either a direct assault on the south entrance of the fort or a sneak attack from the north. If players choose the direct assault, they will encounter Risen Plague Carriers, which can quickly kill all the crusaders with their explosions. Therefore, players should intercept the carriers and ensure they explode on them and not on the crusaders.

The sneak attack from the north takes a fair amount longer, and players actually encounter more enemies, but no Plague Carriers. During the sneak attack, the crusaders will also sometimes encounter a Veteran Risen Putrifier, which can spawn behind the crusaders, so players must ensure they do not inadvertently abandon the crusaders by moving too far ahead. When the crusaders arrive at the center of the fort during the sneak attack, no Abomination spawns.

Dialogue[edit]

Starting sneak attack
Jevaran: We move on to the north, those dragon spawn won't know what hit them! Follow me!
Starting direct assault
Jevaran: The safest route is to the south, follow me to the undead's front door!
Arriving at the center of Fort Cadence
Jevaran: That was easier than expected.
Jevaran: Looks like I spoke too soon. (when the Risen Abomination spawns during the direct assault)
Ending
Jevaran: How quickly we forget the easy battle. This one, however, will not soon drop from our minds.
Jevaran: We have justified our losses. There is no shame in sacrifice, only in failure.
Jevaran: I feel the Pale Tree shiver with pride. You have done well this day.
