Recipe Pages[edit]

Nice work on the recipes. I've added a few more, but was also missing tooltips so don't have anything other than the Cooking Station window. You seem to have more info than me, so if you have any info (cost/rarity/descriptions/etc) on the following it would help fill them in:

Also, you might be able to check if the list I posted at Ingredient are actually all considered to be ingredients in their item descriptions? I have doubts about things like Plate of Pasta with Tomato Sauce but no way to validate them. Otherwise, something to do next BWE!

I didn't manage to make these recipes, so no info I'm afraid. Had way more info on the meals and ingredients values and chef rank requirement, but it appears none of my screenshots show the tooltips, so all gone. Will def do more again next BWE, with a notebook this time :p Simooshy 13:25, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Re: Icons[edit]

Hello just a friendly reminder all ICONS must be .png and follow a specific format "Game icon images (skill icons, item icons, trait icons, map icons, etc.) should:

Yeah, just found that out too, very sorry about about that, will remember for the future :)Simooshy 18:00, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Requirement[edit]

Can anyone tell me where I should put the required level for consuming food? For example you need to be level 20 to eat a Strawberry tart. Ta Simooshy 11:21, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Never mind, found out now :p Simooshy 11:26, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
In the boxes at the bottom of recipe pages I have been finding a mix of levels. In some boxes I have seen the required level to create, in others the required level to use. I am changing all to the required level to create for now, feel free to change if this is wrong. Simooshy 11:48, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
No, that's correct for the recipes - required level there is the crafting level you have to be to learn the recipe. In the item infobox, it's the character level required to use the item. However, I know there are some cooking ingredients that have a required crafting level to use them in recipes, and I don't think we have the capability to show that in the infobox. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 11:54, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Right, so if I carry on as I am for now, but maybe put the additional info in the discussion page? Simooshy 11:55, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
That should be fine. Could you upload an example screenshot of something like Plate of Pasta with Tomato Sauce that has both a character level for normal use and a crafting level for crafting use? I don't remember seeing any like that myself, so I'd like to see how the game displays that. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:27, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Found one, where should I put it? Simooshy 12:29, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
I believe we should just put items req. to use level into item infobox, as it's an info about an item rather than about a recipe. In game it is presented in item's descrition in recipes though, and that's where confusion is coming from. Alfa-R User Alfa-R sig.png 12:34, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, atm I am putting chef req to craft in the recipe box, and level to eat in the infobox. Am putting the level to use as an ingredient in the discussion page, in case it has a home later. Simooshy 12:37, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Just upload it (to the wiki if you want, or to imgur or yfrog or wherever) and link to it from here. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:49, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Here we are - http://i.imgur.com/KCndR.jpg Simooshy 12:51, 15 May 2012 (UTC)
Awesome. I've got an idea what to do, but it may be a while before I get around to it. Basically we need a more specific version of {{Item infobox}} for materials/ingredients, probably {{Material infobox}}, that can display the crafting disciplines that can use the material. (While this could be added to the existing infobox, I'd rather not overload the generic version with subtype-specific data.) —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:37, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

BWE2[edit]

During this event I found that almost no matter what I crafted, it showed as being a crafting material, but without showing what profession or rank it required. Any that had no profession or Requirement I assumed to be simply a food, and left the crafting material section off the page. I expect this will be fixed promptly in game. Simooshy 17:45, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Two for One[edit]

I found a couple of items that had two different recipes resulting in the same product. I expect at least one of these to be fixed soo, but will add a second recipe section to the same page for now (assuming that works). Simooshy 17:46, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Help Me![edit]

Waknut Sticky Breath has now been renamed Walnut Sticky Bread. Do I make a new page? If so what do I do about the old one? Simooshy 18:05, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

It's already been moved to Walnut Sticky Bread. There is a "move" action tab at the top of the page, you should use that instead of simply creating a new article if you find any other renames like this. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 20:10, 11 June 2012 (UTC)
Excellent, thanks. Hadn't reached that one yet anyway, but now I know for another time. Ta. Simooshy 20:11, 11 June 2012 (UTC)

Deletion[edit]

If you want an article deleted, you can place a deletion tag on top of the page. Just use the following code:

{{delete|Your reason to delete the article here}}

Eventually, a sysop will get around to removing the article.

Note that, if you want the article moved, instead of deleted, you can do that yourself and right away with the move button on top of the page. --Xeeron 17:39, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I knew about how to move it, but the other page already exists. Thanks very much for the info on deletion. Simooshy 17:40, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

C-c-c-combo Creator[edit]

I am writing down all the currently known recipes and am going to link all the ingredients pages with the appropriate articles. Should be done in a day or so. Simooshy 20:50, 12 June 2012 (UTC)

Unidentified Dye Crafting[edit]

Chef now has the ability to create unid dyes of different shades. After a certain level, instead of just being able to make Unidentified Yellow Dye you can also make Unidentified Yellow Dye (Master). Should this have it's own page, or a separate recipe on the unid yellow dye page? Thanks Simooshy 11:51, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Made a separate page, as they are also different rarities. Simooshy 12:17, 24 July 2012 (UTC)

Crafting items[edit]

Please be careful - you've put several items which are produced by crafting but not used as crafting items into {{crafting infobox}}. — Rari User Rari sig.png 13:47, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I was putting food into item boxes and crafting ones into crafted, but started seeing lots of food in crafting boxes, so thought we had switched over :s Simooshy 13:50, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Will start fixing right now, I assume I do still use item boxes for the recipes that don't create another item? Simooshy 13:53, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Recipes have their own template, {{Recipe}}. Food items which are produced by crafting but not used as ingredients (crafting materials) should use the {{item infobox}}. Food items which are produced by crafting and also used as ingredients (crafting materials) should use the {{crafting infobox}}. That said, I'd like to see sub-categories for food-type added to item infobox, but I do not have time to do it today. — Rari User Rari sig.png 13:59, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
So I was doing it right, just got side-tracked by a different style someone else was using at the end. Shouldn't be too many to fix then. Thanks :) Simooshy 14:00, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
Ok, think that's all of them fixed, thanks for clarify it, I was a lil confused. Simooshy 14:09, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Do we need a new template or where do we put this?[edit]

As of last night's stresstest, various recipes can produce different quantities. For example, if I craft a Bowl of Vegetable Stock I get one bowl of veg stock. Great. But if I craft a Grape Pie with the filling and a ball of dough, it now produces 3 pies. How are we to put this info in? Simooshy 16:29, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
