Hey there, welcome to the wiki :). You can use Help:Signatures to guide you. Also, could I request that you use the "show preview" button to view your edits before you save them? It'll result in less saves you need to make (as you'll be able to preview changes beforehand), so less entries in the list of recent changes and page history. -- pling 22:51, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Hey, just a quick note about your signature image: Though it's technically not a policy yet, you should upload your images to User_Rodane_imagename. I've tagged it to be moved (though I think I tagged it incorrectly). *fixed*-- Shew 23:18, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

You could always reupload it under User_Rodane_signature and tag the old one for deletion by putting {{delete|User request.|speedy}} on the image's page. I'm not really sure which method is preferred.-- Shew 23:34, 15 November 2009 (UTC)

You can make it smaller by doing this [[File:User_Rodane_signature.jpg|19px]]. You'll need to check the raw signatures box, though, since you're using an image. You could do something like this: [[User:Rodane|Rodane]][[File:User_Rodane_signature.jpg|19px]].

If you want your image to redirect to your talk page, put #REDIRECT [[User talk:Rodane]] on the new image's page.-- Shew 00:02, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

First Fruit

Here is my version of the birth of the sylvari race:

With eyes open, darkness. With eyes closed, light. Lights, sounds, fragrances. Mainly sounds. Dozens of sounds simultaneously. Siblings. Teaching, training, guiding. She is teaching them as well. And a lot of laughter.

With eyes open, darkness. With eyes closed, light. Moving slowly, experimenting with hands, feet. Fingers stroking the ridged, densely corrugated wall, the silky material. The wall moves, then colliding with something, stops.

With eyes open, light. Long crack on the wall. Tiny fingers testing it. They just fit in. Pushing her fingers in the gap, a strange, warm feeling sweeps through her. She pulls back her hands. Closing her eyes, there is darkness inside.

Eyes open. The gap is bigger now. She could even... After some thinking, she pushes an arm through the wall, then both, pushing herself carefully outside. Turning around she is seeing what was only felt before. The large tree, branches leaning towards the earth, full with heavy, deep-green fruits. Like the one she has just climbed out.

She turns and looks around. Everything she heard and felt in the dreams, is around her. She spends hours to learn the island. The sunlight, the sky, the clouds. A blade of grass, a pebble, the lake around the island.

Walking back to the tree, there is a a marble slab, put against the tree-trunk.

The dreams told the story about the centaur, who defended the tree for a long long time.

A cold breeze awakens her from her daydream. Walking back to the fruit from witch she came, she chooses a forearm long thorn, which just rests in her hand. From the silky material that covers the inside of the fruit she rolls a long, thin thread, and from some leafs prepares a dress for herself.

Looking at the other fruits resting on the ground, all of them have long cracks on them. She can see the curious tiny fingers. She smiles.

She breaks off a handful of the flesh of her fruit, and eats it slowly. Then she crawls back. She closes her eyes, to open herself to the sounds and dreams, to tell her experiences of the day.
