get a bot to split the fuckers. then we can dpl magic them everywhere like carpets. Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 18:46, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

What really bugs me is that the only parameter we need is "variables". Everything else can be generated automatically by default and simply overridden as needed. We have no choice to split them if we want SMW to work properly.--Relyk ~ talk > 19:00, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Feel like making a rune infobox? Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:29, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
As you can tell, the code is simple enough to make changes to the upgrade component infobox directly. The sigils have the same exact behavior after all. I'd rather avoid implemented templates more than one level down, most infoboxes already uses {{Default item parameter}}. The way {{effect}} was implemented made {{Damage}} a bitch to modify for its use in {{skill fact}} with none of the pages providing documentation. While subtemplates would be handy and make them much easier to use, they don't have any properties that differentiate them from other upgrade components beyond the type of equipment that can be placed in. It's like making a Toy infobox (fuck toys and weapon slots) for Weapon infobox because any profession can use it.
That said, I would love to implement these infoboxes because it looks pretty, increases usability, and reduces the ways people can fuck up templates. My fear is someone would try to make infoboxes for the other upgrade component types just to set the default description lol.--Relyk ~ talk > 20:27, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
