Taking it to the wiki![edit]

I find the forums are too constraining in formatting, I want to be able to do my own tables and show what works and what doesn't work! My first project! Get all of the sigil bugs in one place... I'm tired of having to search the forums only to discover that my next favorite rune doesn't work. Or only works partially. Expect it soon!

You can do that easily with dpl:
{{#dpl:
|category=Sigils
|uses = Template:Bug
}}

I moved the page you created to User:Powerboard/Sigil Bug List. Since this appears to be a personal project for you, it should be kept in your userspace for now. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 02:55, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
Oh, got it. Yes that makes sense. Thank you for your help! Out of curiosity, what qualifies a page for coming out of a user space? Was my steady weapons page too preemptive? --Powerboard 03:01, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
Use the other weapon set pages as a template, like Bandit weapons and Whisper's Secret weapons. Edits are never preemptive but you should always take care in creating new pages, just make sure the page doesn't already exist.--Relyk ~ talk > 04:57, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
Oh, yeah, I moved that page to PvP Steady weapons, matching the capitalization format of the other weapon set articles (like the ones Relyk linked here). That page, and all the individual steady weapon pages, are fine, since they directly document in-game items. A page that's just a list of bugs, however, doesn't really qualify. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 06:42, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

A new user, who just needs a little help[edit]

I understand not given permission to delete/move wiki pages, but we can't create them? Oh why!!!!

Update! Nevermind! To create your own new wiki page, use a link like this: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/index.php?title=My_Brand_New_Page&action=edit&redlink=1

Scroll through Practices and processes to get an idea how the wiki works. Also see Help:Signatures, you signature should reflect your username so you can be easily identified. Make sure you indent properly and add your signature at the end of your text instead of spacing down, see User:Relyk/Indenting for a quick guide. You can move pages after you have been Autoconfirmed. welcome to the wiki and happer new year.--Relyk Christmas sig.jpg talk 02:27, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
Thank you Relyk! You are a life saver! Flipped back my signature, updated the subject line, I will definitely read through all of your links. I want to be an effective contributor to our wonderful wiki! Happy new year to you too! --Powerboard 02:50, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
The way I create new pages: I edit a page (doesn't matter what page) and add the link to the page I want to create, like User:Dr ishmael/Page of awesome. I click on "Show preview" and then follow the redlink to the page-create form. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 02:53, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
