Collection items[edit]

Hi there, Mewdos! Just a few notes on your recent endeavors - in edits such as these, the description parameter for items should correspond to the description in-game, nothing else. Any additional info (such as usage) should be mentioned in notes. Also, in this edit, the acquisition method should remain intact, or rather, a stub unless a specific method is mentioned (such as one from another item's description). The acquisition on the Flame Jelly page isn't specified - which is something most readers expect the page to have. The editing on those pages is the wiki's consensus, so I know it might appear a bit complex on what and what not to include in a page, but hopefully this'll serve as a short guide. Feel free to shout if something doesn't add up or doesn't make sense. Cheers! —Ventriloquist 17:21, 2 November 2015 (UTC)

Hello! They do correspond to their in-game description, as now some items have a "Hint" section (in-game) which lists their location. I added that ad-verbatim in the "description" portion of the pages so that it'll reflect the instructions for acquisition in the main collection page (since the template pulls the data automatically and there's no way to specify what appears there).--Mewdos (talk) 17:24, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
The item's description is the item's description, not what shows up under an achievement or anywhere else. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 17:26, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
I've attached a picture to show you how it looks in-game.

Woops that came out big x) --Mewdos (talk) 17:38, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
And here is the item's API entry. The "Hint" is not part of the item's description, it's something extra that only shows up in the achievement window. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 17:30, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
Exactly, the item's "true description" is what's shown outside the achievement panel when, for example, linking the ID code in chat. However, the hints mentioned in the panel usually reveal the acquisition method, which is very useful for pages without any, so feel free to add those. —Ventriloquist 17:34, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
Nah I'm good, time to play the game instead of doing PvF. Good luck! Also, good luck on the "cleanup" of the Spark collection pages and finishing 'em boys! Go get 'em! --Mewdos (talk) 17:38, 2 November 2015 (UTC)
