I'm pretty sure the current consensus is that you should not use a redirect on the file page; instead, you make the image link point to your intended target, like you can see in my sig. In any case, the link should be to your userpage or user talkpage, not to a mainspace article. —Dr Ishmael 22:23, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

I already have links to my userpage (currently empty) and talk page. The icon redirects to the profession page because that's what profession icons should do. -- Meagen/talk 22:29, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
