Images[edit]
"(Oh god I hope I'm uploading these right :|)" As long as you're taking screenshots with fairly good graphics settings they'll be alright. If you want them to be the best possible, then using the command switch -bmp + converting them back to .jpg later will improve the quality. Given the choice of preview images or none at all, we'd choose the preview image any time :) Thanks. -Chieftain Alex 07:33, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- Yay ^^ So is uploading non-preview images generally better? I tend to prefer to see preview images myself because of the uniformity & consistency as in-game lighting, time of day and other external stuff can affect certain models. But just for future reference - is it considered better to just upload an actual character wearing / wielding the item? Lelling (talk) 07:40, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- If you have access to the actual weapon, I think that yes the preview image is usually inferior. I'll see if I can find an example.. equipped in preview (1), unequpped in preview (2) & equipped outside of preview (3). (Image 3 is the best quality.) There is a limit to how big you can make the preview window as far as I can gather, plus having a character (even if its a norn) gives a sense of the scale of the weapon. But for the love of god please don't use weapons equipped by asura for screenshots, they're tiny xD -Chieftain Alex 18:14, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
- I see ^^ Yeah, after I made the post I tested some non-preview vs. preview screenies and I saw the difference. Coolio. So generally I can also help by replacing possible older weapon images that use preview stuff (for example, half of the ley line weapons - since I have them all? (binge buys = best buys, don't question it)) Also, as far as characters are concerned, fear not, I have a few very generic-looking humans that'll be perfect for the job :D Lelling (talk) 19:19, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

- @Alex: The preview window is 100% fixed - no resizing at all. GW1 has a better preview window. —Dr Ishmael 20:02, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
prefix selection table[edit]
We usually place that in its own section, see Adventurer's Mantle (medium). (If you saw it used on a page that didn't have it like this, then that page is probably old and needs to be updated.) —Dr Ishmael 12:29, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
- Ooh I see. Ok I can fix that. Also - the blade packs use that layout: Twin Spinal Blades, that's where I got it from. ^^ I can also update those over the weekend. - Lelling (talk) 21:04, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
