Just wanted to point out that Banded Armor (heavy) is a random drop, or at least it's commonly available and not soulbound. Can find lots of it on the TP.

Also, thanks for doing this - there is no easy way to see all the crafted armors, and many of the ones which are random loot/quest reward I wasn't sure about since I hadn't seen them personally. Your work has made my plans for transmog sets advance considerably. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 06:08, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

I'm so anal about this, so don't take it too seriously... but these aren't real high quality. I see lots of JPEG compression artifacts and slight desaturation. If you take in game images, use the command line -bmp to generate lossless images, then custom save them using photoshop or something with a save for web function. Just passing along that tip. A lot don't know or use it. Oh, and see where it says "Size of this preview: 343 × 600 pixels" It's best to get your image to that size or a varient of it larger/smaller, otherwise the wiki generates it's own JPEG image for the thumbnail which applies the same compression on top. yeah, I didn't look too much into the images themselves until after all screenshots were taken. What i meant by high-res was that the screenies were taken at 'Best Appearance' graphical settings. I completely forgot that GW itself messes up teh quality by compressing into JPEG. The best way, really, is to PrintScreen and Paste directly into an image editing program, or even use an image-capturing software as FRAPS. In either case, this was only meant for my own enjoyment and to spark some interest in others. My resolution is also limited because I play on my laptop most of the time. Back home I have a better graphics card that supports 1080p. But I won't go through the trouble of taking the screenies all over, I mean it was about 70 pictures for each type. --Kristofferus 20:03, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
If you use -bmp you don't need to use a third party program, the game just creates bitmap images instead. The only thing that makes a difference in the preview window is shading (and maybe subsample). Nothing else applies. Even screen size isn't a huge deal. Well it's good enough for most people, so it's still useful. Previously Unsigned 08:14, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Don't let the default "preview" display size constrain you - it can be changed in a user's preferences (I have mine set to 1280x1024), and they can click the image to see the full size regardless. What I've done in the past on GuildWiki is use the -bmp option, of course, and save to jpg from GIMP at 90%. That seems to be the best balance between file size and image quality - any higher and the size gets insane, any lower and I can start seeing compression artifacts. YMMV. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:29, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

Error[edit]

There is an error with the medium crafted armor (User:Kristofferus/Armor/Human#Crafted_sets_2). The one listed as "Noble armor (Leather)" is called leather in game. Noble is a totally different skin :) - anja talk 05:40, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

It's called Noble Armor in the PvP panel. Since there is no clear consensus on the default names for the skins, I included both. And if you read the notes, the names in Parentheses are the alternate PvE names. --Kristofferus 19:03, 24 November 2012 (UTC)
OMG ARENANET I HATE YOU (not really, but still). And sorry for not paying attention :) - anja talk 08:58, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
