Pre-final note: "Comparison of numeric vs. percentage attributes" section[edit]

Quick note before I finalize the page: I am removing this entire section. With the removal of Critical Damage as an item stat, the only remaining percentage attributes (Boon/Condition Duration) are fixed values across all equipment (except for Platinum Doubloons, but they only give a single stat and don't fit the major/minor paradigm). If anyone thinks we should still cover this, then it deserves at most a paragraph, not a whole table.

Editor's notes[edit]

I had two main goals on this one: 1) use lists to organize things better, 2) reduce the amount of redundant intra-wiki information by taking advantage of the {{main}} notices already in place (and adding a fourth one, and a {{see}}). I think I did pretty good on the second one, but I may have gone overboard on the first one. I may have also used italics a bit too much in some places. If anyone feels like de-bulleting a list or two back into prose, go ahead.

Early on, I also decided that we needed some annotated images of the equipment screens to augment the text, so I whipped them up and stuck them in. I've just copied this section out to the current Equipment article because I felt their lack was an atrocity. I'd really like for the thumbnails to be large enough for the numbers to be visible without having to go to the file page - should I just increase the font size on the images, or make the thumbnails larger?

I am extremely happy that we can now ditch all of those silly tables about Critical Damage. Hallelujah!

Thing I'm not happy with (I seem to have one of these for every page so far): the header of the table, because Exotic blends into the background. I tried some other styles, and the only appropriate one (non-racial, non-profession) that worked halfway decent for all rarities was mech2; however, it feels to me like it provides a bit too much contrast:

I've been working on this thing all day (with breaks), so I'm heading to bed. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 04:39, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

{{STDT}} without parameter works. --176.26.107.213 19:07, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
I don't think the headers need to be colored. "crafting" looks alright if anything.--Relyk ~ talk < 20:01, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
Plain gray works, yes, but it's... plain. That's why I didn't mention it.
Relyk, that's probably the best option. We probably use that rarity color template too much as it is. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 20:09, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
