External template quotation usage[edit]
There are some pages that use an infobox but do not call the template {{quotation}} in the infobox. E.g. NPC, Location, Specialization, Story are all calling {{quotation}} externally outside of the infoboxes. Therefore, this template can't be used to handle the in-game description. Since the quotation template text is suppress, the popup shows only "— In-game description", which looks kinda wierd. Simply allowing to {{quotation}} for the wiki popups doesn't really work, e.g. skills would display their skill facts in one plaintext sentence, looking meaningless and unreadable.
Therefore my question: should we move the quotation into the infoboxes with parameters description
(quotation text) and quotation
(quotation source)? However, those might be many for the NPCs.

- New approach: we could allow quotation to be displayed in the popups in general but disable them for certain infoboxes with a
#var
, e.g. disable it for skill infobox. Hence, there would be no need to add the quotation into the infoboxes (see above). However, unordered lists are causing problems, I can't manage to hide the so far. --Tolkyria (talk) 16:37, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
- Well, nevermind what I wrote above. The quotation source (e.g. "In-game description") is only displayed if the quotation text is displayed with this template. I.e. for NPC, Location, Specialization, Story infobox which are using {{quotation}} instead of a
description
parameter in the infobox the quotation is not displayed. --Tolkyria (talk) 17:44, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
