Food and Utility[edit]

Can anybody expand this template to have a third parameter, so one can decide to display either the food Nourishment food.png or the utility icon Nourishment utility.png? Then it could be used for all types of nourishment. I must admit I have no clue how to do that. Balwin (talk) 08:50, 25 May 2013 (UTC)

To add to this, I would like it if we add a 4th parameter where we can use a specific icon (downscaled to 32x32) instead. A few consumables with unique icons behave like utility or food nourishment. Though you could make the argument that those are not too many. It is mostly so that we can include those icons while still using this template. Tyndel (talk) 03:26, 1 August 2014 (UTC)
Oh, and there are at least 5 cases where it says something else than 'Nourishment (x m)', while still being one, so that part of the template would benefit from flexibility as well. Tyndel (talk) 03:32, 1 August 2014 (UTC)

More flexibility?[edit]

I've added support for custom icon since we got Pumpkin's Blessing utility nourishment, however template needs an alt parameter for name. Actually a small overhaul would be good (because icons), but I'm afraid it may cascade badly across pages which already use it. – Valento msg 18:36, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

Is it fine? I could get rid of type since it's purpose is mostly identical to icon, except for link. – Valento msg 18:47, 29 October 2014 (UTC)
Might as well semanticize the template at the same time.--Relyk ~ talk < 03:03, 30 October 2014 (UTC)
Items like the Revive Orbs, the Utility Primers, Metabolic Primers, Clean Refreshing Drink and Winter's Blessing with inserted description with icons for unique effects could use something like this, but this only works with nourishments and utilities. These items currently have their effects indicated 'manually' with the effect and effect description templates, and that only works when the effect description happens to be the same, otherwise it has to be added manually. So I'd add a way to add a fourth property for custom effect descriptions so it can link to other effects other than 'nourishment' and 'utility'. The icon should also be forced at a fixed size, since using larger custom icons like Tonic.png results in having the icon with full size instead a small one.
