Talk:Your Turrets explode when self destructing

I am not going to question this due to Tane being present during the Fan Day, but since when have trait names become Dynamic Event title-formatted. I do hope this name is a placeholder by ArenaNet. - Infinite - talk 20:38, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

Sooo...is "your turrets explode when self destructing" actually the description description of this unknown major trait in the turrets trait line? --Moto Saxon 21:04, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
I'm gonna trust that Tane got it right. Aqua (T|C) 21:06, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

This skill combines very well with "You shoot the foe with your gun." Felix Omni Signature.png 22:48, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
Ahhhh, that makes me laugh! Given that the description is (new string), it really does look like it's just a placeholder though Thering 23:37, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
I also <3 the "Bone Fiend" icon for an engineer trait... Aqua (T|C) 23:49, 26 June 2011 (UTC)

sic[edit]

Is the sic really necessary here? Sic is used to note an error when copied verbatim from source, or when noting that the error was intentional and is hardly an error, but instead word choice (like the "persecution" in place of prosecution at the trial of zinn). In this case, "(new string)" is a placeholder string/text for now, and is neither an error nor intentional odd word-choice. This doesn't fit usage for sic; do you really think that sic was necessary, tane? ~~ User Kiomadoushi sig.png Kiomadoushi 20:44, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

The place-holder text is still intentional (as in ArenaNet didn't bother changing this yet) which is why there is a sic tag. The "error" is intentional, which is what sic depicts. - Infinite - talk 20:49, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
yeah, read the description of "sic" on the wiki. it stats that something is copied exactly from it's original text, and no error was made in translation, rather in the original. it applies perfectly here. --Moto Saxon 20:50, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
It's right now another way of saying "this weird stuff is confirmed to be this way." Aqua (T|C) 21:13, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
I agree its correct to be there. When i first saw this page, i thought someone had made a mistake copying the description, which is exactly the situation when a sic should be used Thering 11:54, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
