Didn't receive it.[edit]

Did not recieve this hat and done everything by the book. Achieved all "Special Event"s and was there at the begining of the party and stayed whole duration and nothing in chest. Ace Loves It 18:17, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Did you participate in Mad King Says? Pretty sure that's a requirement for opening the chest. 96.39.113.84 21:30, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Had official Answer from Regina "In order to get the hat, you need to play the event and get at least one “Mad King Says” emote right".

Character Hair[edit]

Should the note regarding the hair be removed? The Devil Horns, Town clothing headgear, still show the character hair. 79.113.230.172 19:16, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Town headgear follows the same rule as armor headgear- some makes your hair invisible, some doesn't. 96.39.113.84 21:30, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Is there a "Festival Hat" NPC", like in GW1?[edit]

Like in the early days of GW1, we ended up hording a bunch of hats from past festivals until Anet added the Festival Hat NPCs, figured they’d have the same in GW2, but for the life of me, can't find where. Have Anet omitted this handy inventory space-saver? (Intentional? To create more need for space, thus buying of gems to expand storage, /ponder).

It's an account-bound hat, and so you can just throw it onto any alt's town clothes headgear slot. Personally I've only found four different free headgears for that slot, and two of those were from the Gem Store as promotions. But if they go the way GW1 did and have a hat for *every* holiday, it's definitely going to be a problem as time goes on...
Anyway, no, I don't think there's any storage like that yet. I'm sure the suggestion has already been made to them though. Vili 点 User talk:Vili 03:59, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

Wardrobe?[edit]

why doesnt this hat show up in the new wardrobe storage section??? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 7.82.237.184 (talkcontribs) at 05:39, 27 April 2014 (UTC).

It does on mine. Make sure you take your character (that had the hat equipped pre-patch) to the Black Lion Armor Trader, located next to the trading post in any of the main cities and convert your town clothes. It should unlock for all three weights of armor (and you should end up with an item that allows you a free application of the skin. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:34, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
It doesn't show up in the wardrobe unless you have it unlocked. If you had it equipped on one of your characters prior to April 15, follow Ernie's advice to unlock it. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 20:43, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
