Talk:Verata's Armor Recipe Book

There's something wrong. I've got all these recipes, but none of them are ascended; they're all exotic. I just checked, and when you open a book, there are only exotic recipes listed. So, where do the ascended recipes come from? Daddicus (talk)

Is the recipe book itself ascended, or is there an exotic variant? And are the recipe sheets named "Verata's" or "Sinister"? —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 13:18, 23 February 2015 (UTC)
The book itself is rare. All of the choices "inside" the book are exotic. I've opened 22 weapon and armor books so far, and they all follow this pattern. But, at the bandit crest vendor, you can buy both exotic and ascended versions of the inscriptions and insignia. (In fact, the ascended versions all require one of the exotic items as a component.) That sounds like it's Sinister Armor Recipe Book. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 05:11, 24 February 2015 (UTC)
You are correct; the mystery is solved. For some reason my brain was equating them, even though I read different words. Thanks! Daddicus (talk)

Another question[edit]

Dr. Ishmael straightened me out on Verata's recipes (ascended) vs. sinister (exotic).

So far, I've gotten about 40 recipe books from Silverwastes, and all of them have been the exotic version. Am I just unlucky, or are the ascended ones really that much rarer? Daddicus (talk)

Never mind; I just got one. At this rate, there's not enough time left in the universe to get a whole set. Oh, well. Daddicus (talk)
