2012 Stuff[edit]

Is this +50% crit chance or just 50% chance? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.55.215.173 (talk).

Probably safe to assume it's exactly what it says. All these descriptions will be gone over before release though and will probably be clarified if they're not clear. Only a few hours left until we can check. --Eerie Moss 14:12, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
I've verified that this trait does not work with knockdown, for those who may be wondering. --129.97.124.117 13:17, 3 August 2012 (UTC)
I know this is a post from 2012, but I wanted to clarify this trait does work with knockdowns now. --Rimururu (talk) 17:04, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Earthshaker Interaction[edit]

Any idea whether Earthshaker causes this to occur before inflicting damage? The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.37.171.204 (talk).

Observations[edit]

After practicing with it a for a while, I think this skill actually raises you crit chance by 50%. With a base crit chance of 44% in the Mists lobby, I attacked well over 15 times, and each attack was a critical. Also, daze appears to work with trait as well.24.74.72.237 12:40, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

It seems to be specific to daze and stun though, knock down doesn't seem to count.75.187.204.77 21:43, 17 March 2014 (UTC)
Bull's Charge was proccing the trait for me in Auric Basin. --Rimururu (talk) 17:04, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Icon likely incorrect[edit]

It's an hexagon. Is this up-to-date? – Valento msg 17:31, 1 December 2015 (UTC)

Trait Interaction with Breakbars[edit]

Has anyone tested if you get the +50% critical chance bonus during the whole duration of the stun caused by breaking a boss enemy's breakbar?

I haven't figured out a good enemy to test this solo yet, but I'll report back if I don't get any replies. --Rimururu (talk) 16:37, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Testing[edit]

So, I just tested the trait out vs Stoneheads (no breakbars) and Rolling Devils (they do have breakbars) in Auric Basin. With a crit a chance of 50.58%, I was doing 100% critical hits against knocked down Stoneheads with Bull's Charge, followed then by Hundred Blades. However, when either breaking the Rolling Devils' breakbar with Kick or Bull's Charge, I wasn't doing 100% chance critical hits. Rather, I was doing my normal 50.58% crit chance. As such, I don't think the extra +50% critical chance will work when you break the defiance bar of higher HP, "boss" enemies. It'd be nice to get confirmation of this, though. Maybe the Rolling Devils' breakbar stun could be coded differently due to them being such minor enemies in the game. For now, I'm assuming the extra crit chance won't work on the "stun" caused by breaking defiance/breakbars. --Rimururu (talk) 16:56, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Further Testing[edit]

I did some further testing and the trait does seem to work when you break the defiance bar of "boss"-like enemies. It could be a rank thing: like necessitating the enemy to be of champion or legendary rank. To be fair, I tested it in one of the "bosses" (and not the final one) in one of the lv80 dungeons. My crit chance was 100% with the trait. It could be that the content (dungeons) is so old and abandoned that maybe stuns, even those caused by the breaking of a defiance bar, act like a "normal stun" would in normal enemies without defiance bars, thus triggering the trait as usual.
I'll test the trait again on some kind of Fractal boss and put an end to this question, later today. --Rimururu (talk) 16:03, 31 May 2018 (UTC)

Further Testing pt.2[edit]

I tested that the trait does indeed work when you break the defiance bar of Fractal bosses. I broke the Champion Grawl Shaman's breakbar and the Legendary Imbued Shaman's breakbar and was critting 100% of the time with my Hundred Blades, despite my base crit chance of ~50.58%. So I think this trait works just fine when the defiance bar of most major enemies is broken. Exceptions would be those of some random, minor enemies in the game. --Rimururu (talk) 18:08, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
