Talk:Unidentified Purple Dye (Rare)

I have a question about the rarity of unidentified <color> dyes. Do they have the same odds of common/uncommon/rare as do the all-color ones (standard "unidentified dyes")? If so, then there doesn't seem to be any reason for crafting them.

Along with that, is there any way to get just rares? (Or, higher odds of rares?) I really would like to fill out my collection, but with the odds against getting those last few, it seems impossible. Am I right? Daddicus (talk)

I don't about the same odds as a non-specific Unidentified Dye, but I'm pretty it's very similar - high chance of common, low chance of rare. Your best bet at this point is to just buy the specific dye you need from the Trading Post. —Dr Ishmael 21:18, 23 December 2014 (UTC)

Thanks! That's the conclusion I was coming to. I think I'll do some crafting, but only because I like crafting (and I've got thousands of blueberries). I can always sell the excess. Then, when I get the list below 1/2 to 1/3, I'll start buying. Thanks for the tip! Daddicus (talk)
