- Indeed, there are too many references. Personally I was thinking of the Discworld series the city of ankh-morpork with it's famous Thieves Guild to have crime organised. But no doubt someone will find something even older then that with this idea. --Kilaa1000 22:49, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

- Approximately at the same time as discworld there was the riftwar saga. Also who the hell sites "Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" as the source of the thieves guild when it was in the prior two iterations at least.

If anything this could be a reference to Assassin's creed not only because of the "theives guild" and the theives style similarity to an assassin, but obviously and overwhelmingly because the mechanic is near identical to the iconic system in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood that allows you to call in your fellow assassins to kick ass for you. Uh, guys, it's a lot older than any of the sources you've mentioned so far; the idea appeared in a 17th-century Spanish novel, so it's at least 400 years old. —Dr Ishmael

Related Skills[edit]
Off hand, I can think of the elite skills Warband Support and Hounds of Balthazar as related enough to warrant a note, especially since they are racial versions of this skill. Perhaps a section for this should be added, on this page and the other two? - 184.76.11.55 17:46, 15 June 2012 (UTC)
