Pictures of your sister Deborah to help you decide her lineage[edit]

I know many over the years did not know how to decide unless they had played Guild Wars (1) thoroughly to know each human lineage.

A direct link to the Gallery of Deborah's appearances can be found here: Deborah page's Gallery (Mentioned in the Notes[1] on the main page).

It does not matter what you pick as it is only to decide the appearance of Deborah in your playthrough. Also, the Asian and African appearances came out later in the game so that is why they are not used in Deborah's appearance if you choose Canthan or Elonian. --KatieBoom (talk) 23:53, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

Storyline Merge?[edit]

This seems to be the logical place to merge the other storylines together( Street Rat, Commoner, Noble ) and become just the human storyline since it seemed void of any noble line specific characters.

Also, if you choose as part of you character creation the part about your sister being killed by centaurs, Falcon Company was her unit and heavily effects the dialogue and dialogue options between the NPCs and the player.

i did "The Trial of Julius Zamon" as a noble, which leads on to this quest. i believe the quest "The Informant" may be the start of the merge since it seems to be related to zamon --Universe 12:07, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Actually it seams to split now depending on what you chose as your biggest regret (Unknown Parents, Dead Sister, Missed Opportunity,) Unknown Parents continues to 'Voices From the Past' instead of 'The Fall of Falcon Company' Gorribal 07:48, 30 April 2012 (UTC)

Gorribal is correct. This is where biggest regret takes over on the stoyline.Kenrid 05:11, 2 May 2012 (UTC)

Heritage[edit]

I doubt it makes any difference in the game, but I want to point out that during some dialogue Logan asks you of your heritage and Krytan, Ascalonian, Canthan and Elonian are options. Nifty! Thunderduck 23:57, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Actually, I played through the latest beta personal story as far as they would allow, and I chose Canthan descent - even though my character did not look Canthan at all - and Deborah actually looked Asian, with paler skin and black hair! So I think it makes a cosmetic difference, but that's it. 174.138.202.246 08:56, 23 July 2012 (UTC)
Am I the only one slightly annoyed that there's no mixed race option? I wanted my character to be descended from all my GW1 characters, (plus some others because she'd need more than 10 ancestors) so none of the answers really fits. I picked Krytan because she was born and raised there (plus they have a kind of medium skin tone) but it's not really accurate. Also I wonder if people who are new to GW and don't know much about the different races got confused by this. Especially if they picked a random answer and then their character and their sister lok completely different. Danikat 14:59, 9 September 2012 (UTC)
Yes I found it confusing and wished they had a small avatar of what each Deborah looks like as in a color sketch since their records were destroyed. But Anet will never go back and add or redo anything from Core game they had said so... I do think it would help with immersion though to make your sister actually look like she is related to your character. I just refer to Specifics below or the Deborah page's Gallery which shows the appearance in screenshots. --KatieBoom (talk) 23:38, 6 January 2024 (UTC)

Specifics[edit]

Taken from a forum.

Krytan: Pacific Islander kind of look--brown/tan skin, black hair, dark eyes. Their kingdom is on the western side of Tyria, that is the current human kingdom.

Ascalonian: White/Caucasian, more of a UK/US look. They used to occupy the territory the Charr now control. After losing the war against the Charr, they made their home in Kryta.

Canthan: Canthan people are asian in appearance. Cantha is a country far to the south, across the ocean. The Deep Sea Dragon, undead pirates, and other forces have cut Cantha off from the rest of the world.

Elonian: Elonian people are African/black in appearance. Elona is a landmass attached to Tyria, far to the east. It has been overtaken by Palawa Joko, an undead leader.
