Bugged?[edit]
This looks like it should be the logging axe version of Mining Pick but the notes section says that it can't harvest tier 6 saplings, but has "an increased chance to successfully harvest Ancient Wood Logs from trees that give Elder Wood Log". As far as I know, the normal chance of getting an Ancient Wood Log from an Elder sapling is 0%, so if this item can do that, it is an interesting anomaly.

- As far as I know, it's pretty small, but not 0. Harvested myself a few times. MalGalad
I've harvested multiple stacks of elder logs with this axe and have not received any ancient wood logs, would love another person to confirm the possibility. Hopefully with the Foxfire Cluster craze atm more people will pay attention to this. Sorry for messing this up if I did, first time editing on wiki.Crod541 (talk) 23:10, 31 July 2014 (UTC)
- I started to keep track of my gathering, sadly being alone the sample is quite little, hopefully other people will tag along and post their results...
- Up until now I gathered 566 times, obtaining:
- 23 Foxfire Clusters
- 12 Hidden Trove
- 0 Ancient Wood Log
- Edit
- Double thinking about this data, some characters had the gathering banner on, so are not completely reliable.

The gathering buff increases your chance of rolling on higher loot tables by 10%, if the chance of an ancient wood log is bugger all to begin with, then increasing "bugger all" by 10% won't make a significant difference to results, so don't get too worried about buffed/unbuffed.
