Damage[edit]

Updated the article to reflect that is does cause damage. I haven't checked the damage for higher zones but on a lv7 Charr in Plains of Ashford it was hitting for nearly 150 damage a strike. -- Magic User Magic Icon.jpg Talk 01:01, 28 March 2013 (UTC)

Is this a bug, or just my internet connection?[edit]

I destroyed a Periscope the other day, and it didn't drop an Audio Log. I didn't destroy any Periscopes for about 3 days, so it can't be that I had already looted that particular Periscope that day. However, my internet connection is a bit instable lately, so I'm not entirely sure it's a bug, or just another connection failure. Anyone else noticed Periscopes not dropping Audio Logs? --Axehurler 11:38, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

FYI -- if you kill a Periscope the second time, it leaves no remains. So, if you see remains, that means you should get an audio log. Now, that said, I've done a traversal route, hit ALL the periscopes in an area, and somehow fallen short by one or two on two occasions, now, and I'm not believing I failed to pick them up the second time this happened. It's possible it's not giving them up due to some glitch in the code, dunno. You SHOULD see an "acquired" icon at the lower right side of your screen if you got a log. Now I'll be looking for THOSE every time, too. :-S --OBloodyHell 04:37, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

GET THESE THE FLYING CRAP OUTTA NOOB AREAS[edit]

Yes, we, here, at the wiki are in control of this. IQ? Single digits? Negative integers? --OBloodyHell 00:19, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

8, not 10?[edit]

I've plotted the locations I've found in both the Wayfarer Foothills and the Diessa Plateau. There appear to be 8 locations each. I'm going to change the text to reflect that. I'm open to argument. I'll also put up my "found" locations. --OBloodyHell 00:19, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

I'm not at home, but will update the two maps with the additional two locations.

Only 5 pulses[edit]

The SP Dulfy names "north of Viper's Run" did just now only 5 pulses, during 20s (seconds), and the pause was 15s. If it matters my char was lvl 74. I hope I will check on other SP:s and add data. Note: pulse travel time is about 1s at max hit distance, so the usable pause is up to 2s less. Skalleper (talk) 16:33, 19 May 2013 (UTC)

Yes, if it already hit another passer-by x times, and then you arrive, you'll get the remaining hits before it pauses for another cycle. I guess that's largely unimportant now that they're gone. Almost. --Alad (talk) 22:14, 20 May 2013 (UTC)
Not the case here. There are trees there very close to the SP, and I hid behind one to snipe at it. So I wanted to count the pulses to get the pattern. The pattern is as above. The SP was trained at me all the time and fired (the tree shielded me). What I haven't checked is if it's just this unit.
LOL, I was correcting my post at the same time as you were. You are correct. A couple of things changed recently. The most obvious (to me at least) is the graphical effect of the sonic wave (more colorful, different dynamics). The second thing is that they hit 5 times at 5 sec intervals, then take a pause of 10 sec (or 15 sec like you said if you count the 5 sec of the last wave as part of the pause). The whole cycle is 35sec. It gives more time to react, more time to hit before knockdown and more time to recover. --Alad (talk) 07:19, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Historical locations collapsable[edit]

I don't know how to do this, but I would like to make the historical locations sections collapsable with a show/hide button. May anyone do it? --Faye Grim 17:54 UTC +2 20.40.2022
