Possible movie reference

I think the line "I'll hit them so hard their children will be born bruised" could be a reference to the movie Tank Girl. At the start of her final fight with the bad guy (I can't remember his name) Tank Girl says "I'm gonna hit you so hard your children will be born bruised!". It's a pretty unusual threat and I've never heard it anywhere else so I think it's possible it's a reference to the movie. Any opinions? Danikat 22:29, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

Notably Pratchett's "Mort" in the Discworld series is hit so hard it leaves a mark on his daughter. "Mort" was published ~1987 vs Tank Girl was released in 1995. It's the wording, "will be born bruised" is an uncommon realization of this trope. In fact, in all the examples on the TVTropes page, Tank Girl is the only one that uses "bruised." —Dr Ishmael 23:18, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
