Stealth nerf of research notes from ascended?

Just research-salvaged 3 chestpieces and 2 leggings. Chests gave 250, 275, and 775 notes, legs gave 450 and 650. RNG is RNG. - Tanetris (talk) 22:25, 5 March 2024 (UTC)

Coffee

Was looking for a cheap way to get notes. Was recommended making or buying coffee, and it does seem to be a fairly cheap way to go. Not sure if this is worth adding to the main article, as prices change, but figured I'd add it here. Just got 2 stacks of notes for very cheap by cooking my own Cup of Light-Roasted Coffee. Load time + query limit

So, this page takes a frick ton of time to load and apparently, as confirmed by User:DJemba, it is reaching the query limit (I am not 100% sure what that means but reaching it is probably not good). Not sure how to exactly fix it besides splitting it into a subpage or two. ~Sime 16:49, 8 August 2022 (UTC)

Maybe just leave a link to the Repurposed Jade Servitor and the Guest Elder? Those two lists are massive. Just leave a quick summary, like "sells various crafting recipes, Jade Bot upgrades and other goods" or something like that. I can confirm that the load time on the page is awful. Changes I have noticed

Salvaging ascended gear gives fewer research notes compared to what is stated on the page. Salvaging no longer gives an item to open to obtain the research notes. The only way to know how many research notes were received from an item is to note the before and after research note count. --Hesione (talk) 23:06, 18 September 2023 (UTC)

Non-chef consumables

Just two cents: non-chef consumables are another inexpensive source of these notes. For example, 50 (10x5) Quality Maintenance Oil, rating 300, created by Huntsman from 40 Pile of Incandescent Dust (bought on trading post) and 150 Jug of Water (bought from any master huntsman) are salvaged to 50-55 Research Notes.
