Broken?[edit]
This event seems essentially broken. Every time I've encountered it (which is numerous), it's been stuck ... either short a villager or a villager refuses to move even without any Harpies or Eggs in sight. It would be handy event to actually be able to play since it's on it's way to a skill point. And I feel kinda sorry for the villagers, hangin around day and night, waiting for lost souls that will never return home.

- It works for maybe one or two times after a server reset, then something borks up and it's stuck until the next reset. I've been able to complete it twice in the past 4-5 months. —Dr Ishmael

- I believe it is broken. Just did it and said I have one villager to save, but there is no more villagers inside the event circle. Better give me some sort of awards as it is really hard to solo this with low-level weapons and armor (forgot to upgrade them lol. bug[edit]
Didn't get the reward for the event after doing it all alone. Had the same issue at least 2 times in the past with other characters. Added bug note.

Finally fixed![edit]
As of the 06/28/2016 update, this event has been fixed so it no longer stalls! Finally! After 3 years! Patch notes: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates/Game-Update-Notes-June-28-2016
... Except it was broken even worse such that now the harpies only spawn as level 80.
As of 28-DEC-2016 this event still bugs and gets stuck with villagers refusing to evacuate.
