Talk:Remorseless

Seems kinda useful in PvE where you have a lot of mobs, but pretty worthless in PvP (or WvW)

IMHO, the usefulness of traits in Marksmanship depends on your choice of bow (Long or Short) and utilities. If you're using short bow and survival utilities (ie. PvE DPS build), there's not a lot in the line that offers more than Remorseless. Okuza 23:47, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Bugged?[edit]

This trait is unfortunately bugged and does absolutely nothing. Killing things in combat, even if you're the only attacker (peaceful pet) and thus always getting the final blow, does not reapply the buff. The buff icon won't return until you're fully out of combat, just the same way it will without this trait. Tested in personal story "Retribution". Retested in open world (many things are broken in the claw island stories that work elsewhere -- that's just where I was when I got curious enough to test the trait). Same non-effect in both places. I just checked the pet for buffs after a kill and the pet IS getting the buff. It's still bugged -- it's supposed to apply to the player, not the pet -- but this at least it has some effect. Okuza 20:22, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
Another test -- I turned the trait on after logging in and this time it worked fine. There is obviously something wrong with the trait, but it's not as simple as either outright not working or working only on pets. Perhaps it's bugged if it's there for log in and only works after a retrait (not a full retrait, just selecting a trait). Okuza 23:47, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
not noticing unreliability anymore; tried retraiting, switching the trait, changing zones, relogging ... lumpy (talk) 10:41, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

Stealth?[edit]

For what purpose does a Ranger need stealth? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 19:59, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

To lose aggro, confuse enemies, stealthly plant traps or heal, to gain Opening Strike, adjust distance... MalGalad 01:09, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
I've noticed, though, that planting a trap removes stealth. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 07:34, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
It does not, well, unless it immediately triggers. MalGalad 20:20, 24 July 2013 (UTC)
