"Red Herring"[edit]
As much as I like seeing the use of "Red herring," it's a euphemism that I believe not everyone will understand on this wiki, given the amount of young players as well as non-native speakers. --71.211.10.35 20:55, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- I disagree, the term red herring is actually translatable to other (European) languages and still mean the same thing. DBZVelena | (Talk page) 21:03, 18 September 2019 (UTC)
- I feel like you might be underestimating youngsters and non-natives, anon. The way people usually learn new words is by figuring them out from context: You may be tempted to try the door, but this is a trellop. Instead, do this... It's still pretty obvious that the nonsense word "trellop" means something along the lines of "mistake, foolish idea, waste of time". Nevertheless, "red herring" has been removed now in favour of the door's actual purpose: to serve as the exit. —Idris 15:18, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
