Event and WB bearing same name, swap?[edit]

Is it fine disambiguating by adding "(world boss)" to WB's page? Or let it be default (Mordrem Vinewrath) and disambiguate in event page (Mordrem Vinewrath (event))? The latter seems closer to consensus. – Valento msg 17:35, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

This should be (NPC), imo, as there's only one Mordrem Winvewrath NPC. Whether the NPC or the event takes the default page, however, depends on which would be searched more. I think the event would given the level of detail. Konig 07:04, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
I agree with Konig. If we want to be specific, this boss doesn't really fit in the same category as Fire Elemental, Shadow Behemoth or any other world bosses, as it can be completed multiple times per day with the same rewards, isn't on a timer etc. I'll put up a move request for now. Sounds like a plan. Anyone against moving? – Valento msg 10:42, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
Thinking on it more - does the bobblehead effect alter the Vinewrath? If not, then it mechanically wouldn't be an NPC, but an ambient prop, like the Greater Ice Elemental in the Frozen Maw fight.
It is still a world boss event, by wiki definitions, as we count the Legendary Sand Giant as one. The timer isn't the sole qualification for a world boss. Konig 12:30, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
Hm. I might test if I remember later, but I think it's considered a prop. The Vinewrath, although the main target of the event, doesn't actually do much. It has the beam attack (starting attack for each lane), the confusion pools and that's pretty much it. Everything else combat-related is done by its champions. After all, we can't directly damage it, it has no health bar, and it's not reachable by any means. However, I think that the event should be the primary article for "Mordrem Vinewrath" as we can put up a walkthrough section for all three lanes, and it can contain much more information than just a generic creature that's not even that important in the whole event chain. See if retaliation causes any damage, if so then it is indeed a WB, if not it's not. – Valento msg 14:27, 18 January 2015 (UTC)
If the above statement serves as proof, it is an NPC. See here. – Valento msg 23:40, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
Given all evidence, I'd argue it is a non-targetable NPC, much like the Shadow Behemoth while the portals are open, or the Greater Ice Elemental behind the Svanir Shaman during Frozen Maw (iirc, it's the elemental that's marked as the one damaging you when you're hit by the falling ice, though I may be wrong there). We shouldn't go all technical about every little thing IMO, Mordrem Vinewrath has big importance in terms of map events and lore. The fact alone that it's a champion of Mordremoth is enough for deserving its own page, and distinguish itself from the event page. – Valento msg 10:49, 9 February 2015 (UTC)

Moving forward[edit]

I've moved the page and added lore-focused information as I believe this boss has its importance for the lore. Feel free to remove, reword, or add information as you guys see fit. :) – Valento msg 16:40, 18 February 2015 (UTC)
