Tried to verify this, but no new discovery with the loaf after Tarragon Stuffed Poultry @ 350. CmdrZin (talk) 00:05, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

Change Item Type[edit]

The insert shows this as Food. It should be Snack, but I don't see how to change it. CmdrZin (talk) 00:07, 31 March 2014 (UTC)

The fact that its a snack is recorded in the item's recipe, and is reflected in the Snack page, as well as on the various chef pages. All food is simply called "food" because whether its a snack or a dessert, the use is the same. It could theoretically be updated so that it can say "snack" instead of just food, but there's really no benefit to that - the only people who would care about the distinction between different categories of food are people who are leveling up their chef skill, and that info is already covered. Ok. Saw Loaf of Bread had Snack and being similar, thought it was an error. CmdrZin (talk) 00:14, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
Oh, hey, you were right. This isn't marked as a crafting item, when it actually is. I'll fix it. Psycho Robot (talk) 00:45, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
All the food pages use the item infobox and add the Snack category manually. Now that we have the recipe infobox, we can do the categorizing there. The item type "Food" indicates it's a type of nourishment mechanically.--Relyk ~ talk < 01:29, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
I get that, but why is loaf of bread a crafting material, but not this? Psycho Robot (talk) 01:34, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
Frankly, "Material type: Snack" is incorrect to begin with. "Snack" is a recipe category, not a material type; this and Loaf of Bread are simply Ingredients. (Actually, there are no material types mechanically, we've made them all up (mostly based on the Account Vault collections), but surely it still doesn't make any sense to differentiate Ingredients based on their recipe category?) —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 03:14, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
Well, it does help a little when locating in on the production list to know to look under Snack rather than Meal or such to find the recipe. CmdrZin (talk) 03:25, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
That's already shown in the recipe box, where it should be, so you're not losing anything. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 03:29, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
It's not a crafting material.--Relyk ~ talk < 04:28, 31 March 2014 (UTC)
