per initiative[edit]

Does anyone know if this means: per initiative cost of the skill OR per max initiative you have OR per initiative you currently have available? I'd assume the last, but I could argue for all three. 184.17.98.104 07:29, 21 September 2012 (UTC)

Per current available initiative. The intent is to increase damage at the start of a fight, thus "lead attacks." —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 12:23, 21 September 2012 (UTC)
I wouldn't say that the intent is to increase damage at the start of a fight, but rather, to promote initiative conservation and / or generation given that the trickery traitline is built around attrition rather than burst (check out the critical strikes traitline for that, and the relevant "first strikes" minor grandmaster trait).--174.92.181.180 19:59, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
To expand, if you start the fight with 15 initiative and use unload then your damage will be +10% and go up during the use of unload by 1% for every initiative you gain. So if you had managed to gain 5 initiative by the end of your fourth shot, your remaining four shots would be doing +15% damage.
