The Trivia[edit]

Hey, juvenile bald eagles DO NOT have a white head; they are brown until a bit after their first year. Maybe they were not going for a golden eagle? If that is the case, should it not be changed? There are several pictures of young bald eagles on wikipedia for reference, I don't know how to link. I don't know how to edit or anything, but it bugged me.

The "juvenile" distinction in the game doesn't seem to have any connection to the real-world term. If, as you say, the Juvenile Eagle is accurately portraying a juvenile Bald Eagle, then why does the Juvenile Pink Moa (originally named Juvenile Flamingo) portray an adult flamingo? ("Sub-adult flamingos are whitish-grey and only attain the pink coloration several years into their adult life." w:Greater Flamingo)
Bottom line: forget the "juvenile" appellation, the problem is that the model doesn't match the icon. —Dr Ishmael User Dr ishmael Diablo the chicken.png 21:01, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
I think the icon is a bald eagle because that more easily conveys the concept "Hey, this isn't just any bird. It's an EAGLE!" Pretty much anyone in the US would recognize a bald eagle as an eagle. Felix Omni Signature.png 21:53, 17 June 2013 (UTC)
I know I'm jumping into an old discussion here, but given that we don't actually know for sure what the artist had in mind when they were making the eagle model, I don't see why we can't just mention both pieces of trivia. They're both plausible and relevant. Jeez. --Idris (talk) 19:08, 27 July 2016 (UTC)
