Agree! I ended up doing the very same flag (the clostest one to the quest giver) over and over again. Using the speed boost and dodge roll. What a waste of time just for the sake of map completion. Later I figured out that the two cog wheels are a safe spot.XLsdiary 05:23, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

You can get behind them, though. In fact, you can then climb up on the roof of the tent. And since HoT, you can even glide from there, if it suits your needs - it doesn't break stealth, you move one heck of a lot faster, and there's a ledge further along the wall that you can reach. But, no, I haven't found a way to use that to complete the run yet.2.218.15.170 09:16, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

Walkthrough[edit]

Sorta. Okay, providing the pathing isn't affected by the seekers spotting other players, here's how you do it:

  1. Check the area, there is one charr that patrols from the entrance to the exit. Find him (he had red fur when I was there but that may be random).
  2. Go invisible and wait for the charr to reach the entrance
  3. When the charr turns around follow him (±10 paces behind) and keep to the wall on your left.
  4. When you reach the barrels go to the middle of the road (and stop following the charr).
  5. Make a few steps forward and stop, there will be a charr at the corner of the wall to your left, he will walk towards you but then he'll make a cut to the right.
  6. Walk to the corner and then continue to the next corner (outer, not inner) in front of you (avoid the inner corner, there's a stealthed seeker in there)
  7. The charr that you followed at the start will be coming back, wait for him to pass.
  8. Walk to the exit but stop in the middle of the wall, there is a stealthed seeker in the exit, wait for him to appear, go invisible and disappear.
  9. Run to the exit.
  10. Profit. (Not really, you'll only get about 1/3 of the progress bar.)

I enjoyed it... the first run. Had I struggled at all it would've quickly gotten frustrating - I think the progress bar should fill up rather a lot more for each action, if the only things you can do are the flags and the exits. At least precasting swiftness helps, you don't lose the boon when you turn invisible. Ch8ese 16:08, 4 May 2013 (UTC)
OK, point taken. Live and let live. How about we compromise? Leave the current mechanic intact but add something additional for the gang who just want the torture to end? Mesmer portals[edit]

On a hunch, I brought my mesmer up to this heart. The Portal Exeunt can be placed past the last seeker, and you can then run back to the heart NPC normally. Just before you take the stealth, drop the Portal Entre. Get stealth, take the portal, and by hugging the wall (avoiding the last seeker) and heading back towards the flags, you can gain about 25% credit for the heart overall. Even with waiting for the portal cool down, this is much faster than what I've been able to do with other characters.

I'm not sure if this counts as a game exploit, however. This approach does bypass the typical way to complete the heart, and it's far less frustration and faster. But there's no real profit here given that the heart completion is a one time task. Nkuvu 02:26, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
