Isn't this 'Stealth'? 14.202.192.194 09:29, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

no, just read the Stealth page. (there are differences)--you like that don't you..The Holy Dragons 10:13, 26 February 2012 (UTC)

Is this an effect?[edit]

The way I see it, invisibility isn't an effect by itself, as it's not something seen in the effect monitor above the health orb, but is rather a property of character granted by effects like Stealth and Camouflage. Should this be replaced in the effects nav with the latter? Alfa-R User Alfa-R sig.png 13:14, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

Knockdowns and launches don't show up in the effect monitor either and are only observable by monitoring your character. You want to replace invisibility with Camouflage? The nonsense is that Stealth skills give you a stealth buff that tell you you're invisible, and your character physically is so too. Except we don't have buffs, so it's a boon, though there is a closed set of boons which those stealth buffs are not part of, so they're an effect. --zeeZUser ZeeZ Sig.png (talk) 14:16, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
Ok, not all effects show up on effect monitor, on that I agree. I don't get the second part though, as we have stealth on the effects nav, and using both this and stealth as effects is somewhat redundant, don't you think so? Alfa-R User Alfa-R sig.png 17:22, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
I do sort of agree there, yeah, back then we had a few more skills that specifically mentioned invisibility, which stealth uses, but is not. --zeeZUser ZeeZ Sig.png (talk) 17:40, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, apparently camouflage is also granted by only one trait right now, and we don't add those kinds of effect to effects nav (like signets' passive parts, they are just covered by individual skills pages), so I'd say remove invisibility from the nav entirely. Alfa-R User Alfa-R sig.png 17:54, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
Shouldn't we by that logic remove Stealth from the nav and leave invisibility? There is no single Stealth effect, they are all part of their respective skill, and they all provide invisibility ;) --zeeZUser ZeeZ Sig.png (talk) 18:21, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
It's the other way round. There are lots of skills and traits granting an effect explicitly called stealth, invisibility on the other hand isn't mentioned anywhere except for stealth description, but it would be like adding can't use skills to effects because daze and stun are mentioning it. I remember all Stealth skill "effects" having a different icon (that of the skill) and a unique description, which is why I put them in the same drawer as signets. I haven't followed development on that stuff in the recent months though. --zeeZUser ZeeZ Sig.png (talk) 18:33, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
here you can see that at least decoy shows stealth icon in its description, while other skills don't show icons at all. Also, afaik they all show stealth icon in effect monitor. Alfa-R User Alfa-R sig.png 18:41, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
here you can see Mesmer skills granting stealth starting from 4:14. Alfa-R User Alfa-R sig.png 18:49, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

Should we clean up the invisibility and camouflage sections by linking them to the stealth page, and putting sub-categories on that page describing the particular effects of invisibility and camouflage? It will allow all info to be on one page. Ceeps 15:47, 11 August 2012 (UTC)Ceeps
