Drops[edit]

Regrettably, I have no screenshots by way of proof, but I can offer up that these can drop from mobs. A Son of Svanir in Wayfarer Foothills dropped one. Ajaxas (talk) 02:58, 12 June 2013 (UTC)

I've seen it mentioned that they can drop by a few others elsewhere. I think we can mention that it can rarely drop from random mobs, IMO. Vahkris (talk) 04:02, 12 June 2013 (UTC)
My first time posting on here, just wanted to point out I picked one up yesterday from a Spark in Cursed Shore. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.197.19.152 (talkcontribs).
Kessex, a regular bandit outlaw dropped one, shortly after completing "Kill these 2 Bandit Dolyaks" event. I think it had a strange shimmer while it was on the ground, but I didn't think anything of it until I picked it up.92.27.242.65 15:28, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
It was probably from the Wooden Chest spawning (when it does it emits a glimmer), since the wings are considered to be a rare. 95.180.63.39 03:12, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
A friend picked one up from a level 10'ish bandit near Bar Curtis Ranch in Queensdale, tonight. Doesn't remember if it was in one of those chests. --Alad (talk) 23:44, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
Got one dropped from a level 14 nightmare courtier outside Twilight Arbor
I don't think they drop anymore? --Cloned (talk) 13:42, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

It seems nobody got them from the merchant[edit]

Just a little exercise. At the merchant's price of 100,000 Zhaitaffy sweets for this Wing cover, it would cost around 60 Gold coin to get that many sweets at 6 Copper coin per sweet from the TP (64 Gold coin if you buy 100 Jorbreakers at 64 Silver coin per unit).

Given that the most expensive wings on the TP were offered at far less than 60 Gold coin (current price is around 11 Gold coin, with highest at 14), and given that not many people, if any, have been able to accumulate 100,000 sweets as drops (you can probably get 500-5000 per day—and I'm being generous), one can safely assume and conclude that:

  • All those wings for sale have been found as drops (they wouldn't be making a profit selling them if they got them for 60g)
  • All the players who are wearing them, got them either as drops, or bought them from the TP (nobody would pay 60g if they can get it for 10-14g)
  • And therefore, few people, if any, got them from the merchant in LA. --Alad (talk) 00:25, 22 June 2013 (UTC)
