In order to capture animals with the net gun, you must first get their health below 50% and then use the Net Shot.
Currently the Net gun is not appearing for some non-Charr races. There are reports of it working under certain circumstances but this was not able to be confirmed. Map completion was not possible on a human or sylvari during a 9/23/14 attempt. Adoratrix (talk) 13:41, 21 September 2014 (UTC)
Update: 2014-09-24 The Net Gun skill will appear in skill slot #5 *when* you have the animal below 50% health. Tested with my level 20 Human Engineer today.
Not working for me still, 9/25. Am able to kill them all the way down with the 'humane' gun and no net appears. Update 11/7 I managed to complete but the net gun was only popping very rarely.
- Try removing some of your equipment or refunding trait points to lower your Power, that way you won't blast through the low health threshold so quickly. Might help. —Dr Ishmael

Bug note[edit]
It might be an idea to add a note that the arena training itself is currently bugged, leaving only the capturing. No idea whether there's a typcial format for info like that?
- Actually it's not bugged. It was intentionally changed with the release of NPE. I can't recall sources for now but I recall seeing complaints in forums and someone stated it was intended. --Txon Atana - (talk) 19:42, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
