I'm working on the fish slayer achievement, and I went through the entire river in Venlin Vale killing ever salmon I saw. None counted towards the achievement.

Hm, if I recall correctly, back when we had daily Aquatic Kill achievements, ambient NPCs (such as fish in the water) would count for the kills. ANet eventually 'fixed' it so that ambient kills no longer counted towards that achievement, which (I guess) also turned off the trigger for weapon kills. —Ventriloquist 11:08, 20 August 2016 (UTC)
