Add the fact about turning the dwarves to stone? Or deleting this article entirely? Cress Arvein User Cress Arvein sig.JPG 07:10, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Add the fact imo, it's essential why there are so few dwarves left in GW2, which is most likely part of GW2 lore. There's the tag anyway. Dan Ops (Dan Ops - talk) 17:25, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
I've added it along with where the dwarves currently stand inside GW2 --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.121.168.43 (talk).
There is no individual known as the Great Dwarf, the Great Dwarf is a collective of all the dwarves. http://www.guildmag.com/gmblitz-lore-interview-with-jeff-grubb Ramei Arashi 04:59, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
That info still needs to be added it seems, thought I got everything from that interview onto the wiki... -- Konig/talk 06:14, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Primordus' champion?[edit]

I've read back into some GW1 lore (having played it as well) and I'm quite sure that the great dwarf is the equalevant of the great destroyer as stated in many a cinematic, including "The Great Dwarf". If they're in essence the same, Why wouldn't the great dwarf be a gragon champion as well? Apart from the obvious, the Dwarves, as stated in the same cinematic, "Change in both body and mind" much like many other dragon minions, for instance the branded or icebreed, meaning the stone dwarves might be it's minions. The fact that they turn into stone also confirms that if they are minions of any dragon, it's most likely Primordus. Alike the pale tree theory (well known from Woodenpotatoes' video), the great dwarf could be one of Primordus' many champions where the pale tree is a champion of who-knows-what. I know there have been many dragon champion claims before (like Urgoz, Kuunavang, etc.) but I've not seen any topic about the great dwarf. I'm sure someone mentioned it somewhere in the internet, but I'm just putting it out there. Who's with me? 82.73.217.98 03:27, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

If the Great Dwarf were a champion of Primordus, then why would the dwarves be hellbent on killing Primordus? Dragon minions are absolutely fanatical towards their leader, to the point of believing it still living when it isn't (see Arah explorable). The mentality concept is certainly similar, but their anti-ED attitude disproves it (and the pale tree theory has so many flaws it's not worth considering). Konig 04:41, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
