Drop rate of sorts

This reddit post shows screens of someone opening 250 strongboxes. The titles says coffers, though.

• roughly 16g cash from the boxes
• one of the new, named weapons
• over 30 SP scrolls
• over 20 cores of various sorts
• over 210 karma drips
• 3 lodestones + 4 putrids
• 28 ori, 9 gossamer, 6 hard leather, 0 wood
• 73 mithril, 61 silk, 36 leather
• 25 T6 mats
• over 250 T5 mats

I cannot directly tell the number of armor & weapons because the poster converted all greens into rares via the forge. He ended up with 28 rare pieces of gear, which he then flushed, unless they were worth more than 18s. All told, he ended up with 34g worth of cash and prizes, less than 14s/box.

He didn't say how long he spent, but assuming you can get 30 boxes/hour, that works out to about 4g/hour, not counting other drops. 75.37.17.78 19:11, 9 August 2013 (UTC)

Masterwork rarity Gilded Strongboxes

While playing as my lvl 31 character, I got green (masterwork) rarity Gilded Strongboxes from bosses in AC. They were stackable. I opened them with my lvl 80 char and the drop was similar to exotic; each box having a masterwork or above armor/weapon, some craft mat, drop of liquid karma and some coin. However, the craft mats that dropped ranged from Tier 2 to tier 5 and the coins ranged somewhere from 2,50 (silver) to 5,50.

I'm thinking the rarity of the box is determined by lvl of the char that gets it. Can anyone verify and add this to the main page?

Containers and other items scale to character level in upscaled zones (usually during Living World releases). Seems like it's the same for dungeons.--Relyk ~ talk < 19:43, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

Gilded Strongbox from Sons of Svanir

This is likely in preparation for the introduction of the Hero of the People collection, since several of the champion bags required for it shared names with other bags, and all of them got renamed to have unique names. The split has already been done, but now comes the hard part of splitting their drops from the rest of the page where they used to be. MithTalk 21:08, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

The Gilded Strongbox with id [&AgQuUAEA] is a PoF-style champ bag

This means that you cannot open them on a lower level character to get lower tier equipment to salvage. They seem to always give 1 rare Unidentified Gear each. I think they can only be obtained from the Daybreak story (8 per character). --175.156.243.239 15:11, 1 December 2017 (UTC)

Feedback 2018/09/25 - PoF Chest
