I added a basic Walkthrough for this boss because it's by far one of the most difficult bosses in the game right now. There is apparently a way to make the boss stick on 1 target during phase 2, if you know how please add the info 213.46.130.115 20:16, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

Any tips and strategies are welcome for this boss since it is indeed very difficult to defeat without have proper knowledge about it. Da Mystic Reaper 19:51, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
Went up against him last night, at this point his red circle AoE markers in Phase 2 appear to be broken. You can be miles away from the boss or his AoE and still get hit for no apparent reason. -- Elv 00:01, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

I think this page should be merged with Giganticus Lupicus - since this creature is the last member of its species (and shares their name), the two are synonymous, in the same way that we document the specific Living Short Bow that appears in GW2 but not the hundreds that used to exist on a separate page. --Santax (talk · contribs) 15:03, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

I believe that this true giant was already placed as a temple guardian (as suggested by PoI in Arah explorable) before Zhaitan took over and corrupted it. Other points questioning its (his?) origins are valid in my opinion. However, I'm not sure if the pages should be merged. This giant in particular is most likely fallen very much below of the supposedly awesome giant creatures of the past, and as such does not exactly represent its former species in a very nice way. (Edit conflict) This is the NPC page for the npc called Giganticus Lupicus. We would set his race as Giganticus Lupicus if he wasn't a Risen. Same reason we wouldn't stick a Moa NPC on the Moa race article.--Relyk ~ talk > 15:10, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

Possible bad advice given[edit]

It is my experience that Lupi will throw the necrid trap on people who run and try to range. This appears to be confirmed by the handful of solo videos out there. Are you sure the advice in the main section is accurate? Misleading advice in guides that give wrong boss aggro infomation is a huge source of rage quitting from people I party with. I PuG many, many dungeons. Just something to think about before posting advice on how to fight a boss. I don't believe boss aggro tables are given to us by the devs and are found thrlugh trial and error as bosses--especially legendary ones--have unique aggro tunings. Lupi really hates on people trying to range him in phase 2 and phase 3. Good luck keeping up your blocks and endurance if he's hitting you with necrod bolt every 3 seconds (this attack cannot hit a player in melee range). That's about all I have to add.

I read this page and the info on the Arah explorable page and could add some general and profession-specific tips for Warrior, Mesmer, Elementalist and Guardian. Is this desirable and if so, should I add it to the Arah page, this page or create a link from these pages and make a new page? Qiff (talk) 13:38, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
