Should these keep being listed as Halloween creatures? As they can appear outside of Halloween, it seems like it would make more sense to either classify them as elementals or as griffons and elementals. Sunlion (talk) 08:47, 4 October 2020 (UTC)

They were introduced as such so as awkward as it is, I think it's best to keep to that. Nero9012 (talk) 09:11, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
I'll check to see if the griffon variant counts for Griffon Slayer just to be sure. I won't be able to check if the devil dog variant counts for elemental slayer though. Sunlion (talk) 09:17, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
Griffon variant counts for Griffon Slayer. Sunlion (talk) 21:20, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
Most likely because they use the griffon model/rigging. I think for cases like these, another good example being Elite Ice Giant, the best thing to do is to simply add a note that they progress X slayer achievement without changing the race. The slayer achievements should only be used in my opinion for NPCs that have hard-to-pin down races flat out (Pinipal and Colocal come to mind). In the case of the Elite Ice Giant, it's plain as day they're Icebrood but they use the Giant rigging so that's likely why they count towards Giant. Gargoyles were introduced as Halloween creatures so I don't think it's a good idea to change the race at this point. Nero9012 (talk) 21:35, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
The Halloween gargoyles (at least the ones in the Mad King's Laby & Ascent) don't count towards Griffon Slayer. --BuffsEverywhere (talk) 22:59, 27 October 2022 (UTC)
