April Update[edit]

Where is mentoined that Flame and Frost will also be featured in the April update (if there event will be one)? --Landon144 16:31, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

While it is not explicitly stated, this makes mention of a four-part series, and due to the precedent set so far with content updates (i.e. once a month), it is pretty safe to assume that we'll see the final part in April. --SirrushUser Sirrush sig.jpg 16:54, 7 February 2013 (UTC)
Good eye, did not realize that about the four parts. I had considered making this landing page as well, so I'm glad Noxx took the initiative! --Naptown14 User Naptown14 Panda-icon.png 12:45, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

April Update Page[edit]

There's something wrong with the April Update Page... --Landon144 21:58, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

OMG, we're going 8-bit for the last part! Vahkris 22:40, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
Omg, they've deleted the page :( Gives 404 error now :/ --Landon144 23:39, 21 March 2013 (UTC)
It was probably just a placeholder then. Vahkris 01:00, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
On further contemplation, that was probably going to be the April Fools joke for this year. Vahkris 01:06, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

F+F Dye(packs)[edit]

Should a link to the new Flame and Frost dyes and/or dyepacks be added to this page? Cloudy 15:40, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

I would think it probably should be added/mentioned on The Razing's page, as that's the current release, similar to how SAB was added to it. Vahkris 17:36, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Thinking further now that I'm expanding this page with F&F info, it may be able to be added here as well. There are other F&F Gem Store items that can be listed here as well. Vahkris 14:41, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Heralds or Scouts or Something else?[edit]

In addition to the Heralds in the cities, and the scouts that show the map of the area and F&F activity, there are 3-4 other NPCs in both Wayfarer's and Diessa (maybe more, but need to go check). I'm having a hard time categorizing them. They use the Herald icon (scroll with gold star), and even describe the various F&F activities in general (the elemental events and the invader events) as well as the periscopes, all using the exact same text except for the initial text. However, they all are called "Scout <name>", only have [Living Story] as a category instead of Herald or Scout, and could be argued to be similar to the heart NPCs (in that they're placed near where events occur, are pointed out by the actual scouts, and detail several tasks..all identical though). I want to just call them Heralds, but not sure if that's the best place or where to list them other than in the Scout's location list. Any thoughts? Vahkris 14:41, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Names as shown on mouse tooltip over npc map icon:
Living Story Scout: In Diessa and Wayfarer. Points to living story event locations and mentions the periscopes. (Scout+star icon)
Living Story: (that's the one you mean) On refugee paths in Diessa and Wayfarer (3 each). Talks about the periscopes, more details about ground rupturing and village attack events. (Scroll with star icon)
Herald: Near the Asura gate in every capital city, and near the Asura gates in Lion's Arch. (Scroll with star icon)
Refugee Coordinator: Near the Refugee Camps in Black Citadel, Hoelbrak and Lion's Arch. (Scroll with star icon)
Dead drop Collector: One in Black Citadel. Starts a quest. (Collector+star icon)
Memento Collector: For handing in Refugee Mementos for the achievement, on refugee paths in Diessa Plateau and Wayfarer Foothills. (Collector+star icon)
Audio Log Collector: For handing in Sonic Periscope Audio Logs. These Collectors are documented on that page. (Collector+star icon)
I think that's about it. --Alad 16:10, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
Basically the second, yeah. Trying to figure out how to refer to them. Living Story NPC? Living Story Guide? The rest have names that make it easier. Vahkris 17:43, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
They call them "Scout xyz" if you look at their names. And they use the herald map symbol for them. But you can call them neither herald not scour. Maybe observer. You can get away with it by listing map icons, as I have above, not NPCs, and so not having to invent a name for them. --Alad 09:01, 30 April 2013 (UTC)
Can categorize them as Living Story NPCs and have subcategories for the other services--Relyk ~ talk > 09:07, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

Adding instance list/order[edit]

I want to add a short section listing the specific content: Rox/Braham, their story steps, including their missions, Secret Contact, and the dungeon, all linking/referring users to the actual articles. However, I also don't want to be redundantly making a section where it's already available elsewhere. Does everyone think the Timeline and linked game release pages are good enough? I'm not considering the Living Story page because I feel future story arcs are going to make that page less useful as a guide to this content specifically (and it's not really a good guide to players anyway).

Also, does anyone know of any other Flame and Frost related content on the wiki that has not really been linked together clearly with the rest (I found the mail page on Friday by accident, don't know of any others)? Vahkris 16:51, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
