Talk:Druid's Staff

I have what may be considered a dumb question. Can any profession - that is able to wield a staff - use this staff? Same goes for the other specialization weapons, I guess. SigShaneTalk 18:26, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

This particular item is soulbound the first time you use it, so if you use it on your druid character first you won't be able to move it, however it's got a skin like any other weapon - so you can use the wardrobe to apply the skin to any other weapon on any character you like. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 18:31, 9 May 2017 (UTC)
I appreciate the reply! Let me ask this question another way: Could my necromancer character equip (and thereby soulbind) this weapon, which is clearly named "Druid Staff"? I am loath to try it, as I may one day wish to use the weapon for my Druid, should my ranger ever get off her lazy arse and become one ;-) SigShaneTalk 18:28, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Yep. - Doodleplex 18:31, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
My druid staff was bound to my guardian before I salvaged it, so yeah you can definitely do that. -Darqam 18:53, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Yes, you can. The limited stats available for this might not be helpful, but you can. If you ever want to put it on a different character, or get a less awful stat combination, one option is to change its stats in the Mystic Forge by putting it in with an exotic inscription, 5 ecto, and an Anthology of Heroes from Miyani. Doing this will replace it with a generic ascended weapon, but you can just transmute it if you want it to look a certain way --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 18:57, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
@Gimmethegepgun, you're talking about the ascended version. To clarify for Shane, you cannot "stat swap" an exotic weapon. -Chieftain AlexUser Chieftain Alex sig.png 19:00, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
Yep. I am derp. My bad --Gimmethegepgun (talk) 19:03, 22 May 2017 (UTC)
