Wind bug[edit]

Sometimes when get pushed by the wind, you will fall out of the sky and land on the land between the fractals. There are no monsters here but I instantly died. The only way to get out is by going back to the Lab by waiting your group wiped or completing the Fractal. Yes4me 10:10, 20 November 2012 (UTC)

Boss/hammer note[edit]

The hammer somehow disappeared when the person carrying it got knocked off by the explosive ramps and died (falling/respawn death, no rez required) on the way up to the boss. Normally the hammer would respawn on the ground next to the player's respawned body, but the hammer was not there and it also was not on the ramps anywhere. We wondered how we would finish the level with no hammer and the final seal remaining, but thankfully the final boss spawned another hammer right next to the seal when we got the boss down to about 75% of his health. Don't Return to the Lab[edit]

You do not have to return to the lab if a player dies in an unreachable/bugged location or if you lose the hammer. Just have the rest of the party die. Then, you will be given the option to retry at the last checkpoint. Your party only takes a little armor damage and does not have to lose progress and start over. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Blazing Beau (talk • contribs).

That's not what it says though, it notes the case of you NOT dying. In which case, you can't remap. 129.116.24.216 04:01, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
I wanna add that this not work (or does not always work) if you run into the "Someone gets KD'd while using the hammer and loses it" bug. My party just wiped numerous times (uh... on purpose!), and still no hammer. 50.243.51.251 17:35, 4 September 2014 (UTC)

Lore[edit]

I'm quite curious as to the lore of this area. The side of a tarnished coast -esque cliff, a legendary diviner with acolytes (some mysterious cult?), and a mysterious Colossus (seems too suspicious to call it a giganticus lupicus, plus it appears too hollow to leave behind the telltale bones scattered in tyria). If anyone finds out any lore on this particular area I think it should really be noted. Someone take a note of the dialogue, too, please. --75.17.145.160 16:47, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

Giganticus lupicus look nothing like this guy. First, they are way shorter, second, they have horns and other non-humanoid features. If this guy looks like anything, that's Doctor Manhattan, because they are both bald and muscular, and kind of blue. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 15:31, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
Or the dudes from the movie Prometheus. --talk Large 02:26, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Suspended Hammer Bug[edit]

The person carrying the hammer got blown off the scaffolding on the way up to the chest seal. The hammer fell with but did not respawn with the person carrying it. We found the hammer hanging in midair below the scaffolding. The only way to recover the hammer was for the entire party to jump off the scaffolding, respawn and NOT recover. Once everyone was dead, we were able to respawn at the closest check point (which is where we were), with the hammer. KJZ 14:23, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Tricks[edit]

Where should i post this? As Ranger with two bow's you have an Bug at the end of the Fight on the top, when you got ported in the cage. You can't aim and damage the cage gate until u move a little back in the cage, because you can't damage the gate with bow only at the point where you emerge first and can't change Weapons. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 31.172.30.3 (talk).

Displaced researcher[edit]

There's an NPC that spawns after killing the initial archdiviner, called "Displaced Researcher". It stand next to the big guy's left foot and offers a new hammer. I don't know when it was added. I'm not wiki-savvy so I'll let someone else edit it into the article.

first source is no longer a valid url[edit]

The source of the reference for the the statement "It represents the early history of Tyria, near the beginning of history.[1]" is no longer active. Can anyone find a mirror? if not, we should probably remove the note and reference.--NeilUser Neil2250 sig icon5 Anti.png 23:43, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

I'm not sure, if that reference was ever correct. The original podcast can be found here: http://www.wartower.de/artikel/artikel.php?id=715 Don't get confused by the German text and the German introduction (because it is a German fan site doing this interview) but the podcast is in English. The information about fractal starts at around 30:00 min and about background of Cliffside starts at 38:43 min Balwin (talk) 13:24, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

Hammer skin 'Genesis' causes bundle error[edit]

Bug which can be replicated by multiple players with different builds, races classes, and weapons.

When the Hammer Skin 'Genesis' is transmuted onto any other hammer an issue is caused with the bundle mechanic. When the 'Arcdiviners Hammer' bundle is equipped by someone who currently has a weapon with the Genesis skin equipped the bundle will work as normal up until it strikes one of the 'seals'. After a seal has been stuck using bundle skill 4 the bundle will revert from the 'charged' state to the 'uncharged' state but the icon for bundle skill for will not disappear and can still be used. When bundle skill 4 is used a second or more times on the seal the skill 4 animation and audio will play for the playet wielding the bundle, but not for other players. The skill additionally will not damage the seals unless it is 'recharged' as normal. Other players simply see the skill 1 attack adjacent to the seal, however the player appears to be immobilized. Dropping the bundle does not fix the issue, nor does dropping the bundle then swapping weapons. Note: the 'Genesis' skin matches the base model for the uncharged 'Arcdiviners Hammer' bundle, but with an additional glowing rainbow effect. Note: this issue is not present with the skin 'Entropy' which matches the 'charged arcdiviner's hammer' NeroVox (talk) 18:20, 3 August 2023 (UTC)
