Exotic Research[edit]

Just about all of the bags I've encountered and opened generally have the same contents, now it looks like the main difference is the type of exotics you can get. I think if we could focus more around what bag drops what exotic, and possibly calculate their drop rates, that will establish a more clearer difference between the bags. —Captain Combat Talk combat option tango.png 13:54, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

I agree that the most interesting research is the exotics, but we'll need to continue writing down any lesser rarity items recieved to be able to calculate the drop percentage for exotics, the only thing I would remove from this table is the Drip of Liquid Karma since it seems like it's a guaranteed drop and will be pretty redundant to write it for every entry. Edit: Make sure if you get an exotic you write the name of the weapon and not just exotic sword or something...--Utilael (talk) 16:20, 10 August 2013 (UTC)
drip or skill point, not both. 75.37.23.116 17:32, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

Level of character, not bag[edit]

The level of contents depends on the character that opens these loot bags, not on the one that found them. Level 80 character, L80+ champions in Orr. When opened by L80 toon, the loot was scaled for L80. When opened by sub-10 character, all the mats were T1-2 and all the gear was L14 greens. 75.36.181.240 21:47, 12 August 2013 (UTC)

Well, while I've seen that happen with most, my level 43 (at the time) Engineer recieved a Cobalt from an Oversized Rucksack. I believe I have a screenshot of it, but I got the exotic-quality bags on that character during the Ogre Wars meta event in Fields of Ruin. ---- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 23:31, 20 March 2014 (UTC)
Oh, it seems that I was level 46. But here is the screenshot: Cobalt on a 46 (imgur). ---- ᴥ GreyGhost (talk!) ᴥ 23:42, 20 March 2014 (UTC)

Different types[edit]

There are different types of bags with the same name and quality that do NOT stack. These seem to coincide with the enemy champion type. I farmed 3 different pirate champions in Gendarran Fields for an hour, yet they dropped the same type of bag, albeit with 2 different qualities. Bags of the same quality did stack. (By the way, one of the green bags had an Impaler.)

I hypothesize the following: - aside from quality, champions of the same type share loot tables - bag quality has no bearing on your chance at opening an exotic weapon, although character level probably affects this - some containers with the same name and quality may actually have different loot. --14:21, 14 August 2013 (UTC)Bleachi (talk)

I'll put that here[edit]

User:Kanda/ChampionChests contains my discoveries. Drop rate for champion-specific weapons is very low (~1%) but they seem to drop on top of the regular item. Likewise, karma seems to still (rarely) drop as a bonus item. Never had karma and a champion-specific weapon drop at once obviously.Kanda (talk) 11:13, 10 September 2013 (UTC)
