Molotov Cocktail[edit]

Does the Molotov Cocktail attack have a pull element to it? When I'm running through the bear cave in W2Z1 I am often yanked from higher up way back down to where the bears are when they use the attack.

Thats how the mushrooms and trampolines work, if you get hit shortly after being pushed up (if the molotov cocktail lands on the jump area) instead of jumping up you get pushed back and down from the mushroom/trampoline.
The molotov cocktail is a pretty wierd skill. My impression of the attack:
  1. Getting hit directly: no fire field is created, 1 heart of damage.
  2. Sidestepping the attack (still being inside the attack): field is created, no damage.
  3. Sidestepping the attack (going out of field during creation): take damage.
  4. Sidestepping the attack (going out of field after creation): sometimes take damage. (Sometimes = mostly on mushrooms)
  5. Entering the field: take 1 heart of damage.

The only thing what is hurting you is the area circle after the field was made or the bottle dirrectly. I bet when you are jumping up on those bouncing shrooms the hitbox of you is still on the shroom while you are in the animation of jumping up. By that the bottle will hit your hitbox and that pulls you back afeter the animation of jumping up is done ? --DiegoDeLaHouska (talk) 09:44, 11 April 2019 (UTC)
After writing my last comment from memory, I did some research. You only take damage by entering the field from outside (can't even evade into it). The far pushback on the mushrooms happens if you land on them after taking damage either by landing on a mushroom that is covered by a molotov field or if the bear above saw you, throws the molotov cocktail and you jump into the sphere shaped field with the next bounce. —Kvothe (talk) 00:38, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
